LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 10-year-old boy drowned in a Kentucky river on Sunday afternoon.

According to a spokesman for the Bardstown Fire Department, authorities were called to the Rolling Fork River, near Lyons Station Road, at about 4 p.m.

The Nelson County coroner says Spencer Dugger was wading in the river with three siblings when he suddenly disappeared. Police say Dugger's body was later pulled from the river.

According to the Nelson County Sheriff's Office, foul play is not suspected. The coroner says Dugger died from accidental drowning.

Counselors have been brought in at New Haven Elementary School, where Dugger was a student.
