LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Jefferson County, Indiana say the driver in a fatal hit-and-run has come forward.

Nicholas Griffin, 25, is accused of hitting Grant Adams early Sunday morning.

Adams, 18, was riding his bicycle on US 421 near Old State Road 62 in Madison. Investigators believe Adams was riding up a hill when he was hit from behind.

When police arrived, they found Adams unresponsive in the road. He was airlifted to U of L Hospital, where he died from his injuries. 

Police say Griffin left the scene after the crash.

So far, Griffin has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
