Police searching for suspect after IED left at Henry County gas station
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and have not identified a suspect.
PENDLETON, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police are looking for a suspect after an IED was left at a gas station in Henry County.
Kentucky State Police went to the Pilot Truck Stop, off I-71 in Pendleton on Sunday afternoon.
An employee at the truck stop called police saying they saw "what appeared to be a six inch pipe bomb" in a trash can.
Once the area was evacuated, police dismantled the device.
Police say they have opened a case for use of a weapon of mass destruction, which is a felony. Police say no suspects have been identified.
