LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some seniors are celebrating the end of their high school careers, while other students are taking a break for the summer.

Thursday, May 31, is the last of school for Jefferson County Public Schools students.

This morning at Manual High School, the seniors took a walk through the halls, while the rest of the school applauded their accomplishments. Hugs were exchanged and notes were passed out during the emotional event, while many grinned from ear to ear.

A lot of the students wore the t-shirts of the colleges and universities they'll be attending this fall.

Many high schools are having their graduation ceremonies today.

Eastern High School students graduate at 4:30 p.m. at Freedom Hall.

Students at Jeffersontown High School graduate at 5:00 p.m. at Broadbent Arena.

Jefferson County High School is also at 5:00 p.m. at YPAS auditorium.

Valley High School students graduate at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Broadbent Arena.

Ballard High School's graduation is also at 8:00  p.m. at Freedom Hall.
