LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Celebrating diversity in the Bluegrass. That was the theme of this year's Globalou held at Iroquois Park.

The 28th annual event celebrated the journeys, cultures and people from all over the world who call Kentucky home.

The free festival included live entertainment, a 5K run and a buy local marketplace.

Organizers said it was a way to focus on community and what each neighborhood has to offer.

"We know our neighbors may be right next to us, but a lot of times people won't come out to south Louisville or their different neighborhoods. But we're all neighbors so it's really all just coming together to celebrate everybody," Director of Development Clare Rutz said.

The very last event of the day was a screening of the movie "I Am Ali."
