LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a man they say dragged an Elizabethtown officer with his car late last month.

According to police, it happened May 27. That's when Officer Josh Foushee stopped 34-year-old James Martin on Patriot Parkway.

When the officer attempted to arrest Martin for having several active warrants, Martin allegedly drove about 25 feet while dragging the officer, who was stuck in his window.

The officer got free, and Martin took off while another officer chased him, but he got away.

Police say Martin then abandoned the vehicle, which had drugs and a gun inside.

Police arrested Martin in Radcliff on June 6. He is now facing drug and gun charges.
