LEWIS | Louisville City atop USL East after draw
Louisville City FC fights Bethlehem to a 0-0 draw on the road
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Louisville City fought Bethlehem Steel to a 0-0 draw Saturday night on the road.
LouCity goalkeeper Greg Ranjitsingh notched three saves. The Boys in Purple had to play much of the contest without forward Cameron Lancaster, who sustained a shoulder injury in the 19th minute. Lou City says he will travel back to Louisville with the team but did not set a timetable for his return.
“I thought we looked very laggy. I thought Bethlehem played well, they have some very good young players and a lot of pace on their team. They deserve a lot of credit but I thought for us that we looked tired and it’s understandable after what’s happened midweek,” said Louisville Head Coach James O’Connor, referring to LCFC’s USOC matchup with New England earlier in the week.
Louisville City returns home to take on Penn FC Saturday at Louisville Slugger Field.
