Indiana soap maker makes world record bath bomb
Mama Pearson's Soaporium in Gas City created a bath bomb that weighed nearly 200 pounds.
GAS CITY, Ind. (WDRB) -- A soapmaker in Indiana is soaking in success after setting a new world record.
Mama Pearson's Soaporium in Gas City was challenged to create a bath bomb that weighed at least 45 pounds. On Sunday, they surpassed that and set a world record by creating a pink, blue and white bath bomb that weighed a whopping 198 pounds.
An audience gathered around a kiddie pool to watch the soap makers race to beat the clock. They were concerned about handling the bath bomb, which can easily crumble.
The bath bomb was about 600 times bigger than what the ones usually made by the store.
The Soaporium hosted a pool party afterward. They dumped the nearly 200 pound bath bomb into a pool and invited guests to take a dip in their success.
All the action was caught on camera, documented and sent to the Guinness World Records. The store should get their official certificate in about four months.
