LMPD asks for help identifying bank robber who said he had an explosive
The man demanded money from the teller at a BB&T Bank and said he was armed with an explosive device.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are looking for a bank robbery suspect.
In a post to social media, LMPD said the man went to the BB&T Bank at 330 Whittington Parkway on May 31 and demanded money. He told the teller he was armed with an explosive. No injuries were reported.
LMPD Officer Lamont Washington could not disclose whether the man actually received any money from the teller, and he was not able to give details on how the man got away. Washington said the investigation is on-going, and the department would not release further information.
The suspect is described as a white male, age 35 to 40, 6'1" to 6'3" tall, and weighing about 160 pounds.
