Kentucky Center to remain closed June 17 and 18 due to fire
According to postings on the center's social media accounts, at least one play is being relocated.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky Center will remain closed on Sunday, June 17, and Monday, June 18, after a fire damaged a portion of the building.
According to postings on the center's social media accounts, the Floyd Central Theatre Arts' performances of Disney's Newsies, which was scheduled to run June 22-23 at The Kentucky Center, have been moved to the Floyd Central Auditorium. The new dates are Thursday, June 21, at 8 p.m., Friday, June 22, at 8 p.m., and Saturday, June 23, at 2 p.m.

The Kentucky Center also announced that tickets for the PNC Broadway in Louisville's performance of Aladdin will go on sale Monday, June 18, but due to the building's closure, the tickets should be purchased in person at the PNC Broadway in Louisville office at 620 West Main Street, as well as by phone at (502) 584-777, or online by CLICKING HERE.
