LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- If you drove by the Louisville fairgrounds on Saturday, you may have been taken back in time.

The Military Vehicle Preservation Association held their national convention at the Kentucky Expo Center. Vehicles from World War I, all the way to modern times were on display -- and all of the vehicles still work.

"When you come to an event like this, you actually get to see it, you can touch it, you can feel it, you can smell it," said Ken Hoelscher, of the organization Keeping The History Alive. "You get a little bit of an idea of what these guys and gals went through during these times."

Organizers say they're still mobile and can actually be used in mock battles and live fire demonstrations.
