INDIANAPOLIS, IN. (WDRB)--Andrean beat Silver Creek in the Indiana 3A state championship game Saturday night in Indianapolis.

The Dragons trotted their ace, Sammy Barnett, out to the mound but it wasn't his day. Number one ranked Andrean was able to get to Barnett scoring six runs in four innings off the Indiana University signee. Silver Creek's offense couldn't get much going either. In fact they scored their lone run of the game in the 7th inning and the final score of the game was 6-1.

This was an historic season for the team out of Sellersburg. Prior to this year no Silver Creek team had ever reached the state finals.

Andrean's pitcher struck out 13 batters in the win. The victory makes it 5 state championships in 10 years for the 59ers.
