LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Construction is progressing on the so-called "Dixie Do Over."

But drivers are seeing some changes on lane restrictions on Dixie Highway.

Work on the northbound lanes between Greenwood Road and Blanton Lane is finished, so those lanes are have reopened. But now a southbound lane is closed in that stretch.

Work will also continue on the southbound side of Dixie between Heaton Road and Upper Hunters Trace.

You'll soon notice new drainage structures, curbs and gutters that have been replaced, new sidewalks and upgraded traffic signals.

The $35 million project is designed to improve safety and traffic flow along 14 miles of Dixie Highway, which has been given the nickname of "Dixie Dieway." For more information about the project, CLICK HERE.
