LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Tens of thousands of dollars in lawn equipment was stolen from behind a Louisville church.

Bladerunners Lawn Service said thieves took several mowers, a trailer and a pickup truck overnight Saturday in Fern Creek. Jeff Winter, the owner of the company, estimates the loss to be between $30,000 to $45,000, but he believes the number could be even higher.

"It was parked where we normally park, and somebody went up there and took it all," Winter said.

Other mowing companies have stepped up willing to provide any equipment .

"(They're offering) trailers, offering mowers ... I just can't thank all my friends and family enough," Winter said.

The company has had small things taken over the past 35 years but nothing like this.

Winter said police are trying to look for any clues and that he has no idea why someone would want to take part of his livelihood when all they would have to do is ask him for help.

"I would loan you anything I have to help you," he said. "You don't have to steal it from me."
