LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Millions of dollars are set to flow into Kentucky to help track a killer.

The Kentucky Cancer Registry at the University of Kentucky just got a $2.6 million grant. The money will fund the registry for the next 10 years.

Every year, it catalogs information on the nearly 30,000 new cases of cancer in the state. The information is helpful to researchers across the country, especially to those battling cancer here in Kentucky.

The grant is from the National Cancer Institute.
