MATAS | Issel still on board to bring NBA to Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)--Dan Issel says the NBA2Lou group won't miss a beat after the sudden resignation of longtime member J. Bruce Miller.
In fact the Hall of Fame player and University of Kentucky great says there is a lot of momentum in the efforts to bring professional basketball back to the Derby City.
The plan is to eventually fill Miller's position and in the short-term the group has two meetings next week with potential majority investors for a Louisville team.
Issel added the NBA has given no indication about if and/or when plans for expansion will be announced and also has not hinted at which city or cities are at the front of a line for a new team. NBA2Lou plans to have its application on top of the pile when the NBA's plans come out.
