LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting death of a man in west Louisville in early June. 

The suspect, 41-year-old Jermaine Williams, was charged with murder on June 21.

The victim, 39-year-old Darryl Lewis, was found in front of a residence in the 1700 block of West Oak Street around 1 am. on June 6. Police say he had been shot four times. 

Williams was arrested on an outstanding warrant when he walked out of the residence while officers were investigating. After his arrest, police say they found a loaded revolver with four spent shell casings in a duffel bag Williams was carrying. 

During the ensuing investigation, witnesses told police they heard four shots. Police say at least one witness told them Williams admitted that he shot Lewis during a fight.

Williams is now facing several charges, including murder and two counts of violating a protective order.
