Officials identify man killed after being hit by car on Dixie Highway
According to authorities, the driver stayed at the scene and spoke with police.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities have identified the man who was killed Friday night after he was hit while crossing Dixie Highway.
The man was 46-year-old Brian Foley, according to Deputy Coroner Scott Russ. The official cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma.
Police said it happened around 10:45 p.m. at Dixie Highway and Lower Hunters Trace.
Investigators say Foley was wearing dark clothing and was not in a cross walk when he was hit.
According to authorities, the driver stayed at the scene and spoke with police. The incident has been ruled an accident and officials say the driver is not expected to face charges.
