Louisville Metro Police arrest female suspect in fatal stabbing
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say officers have arrested a female suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing that happened early Sunday morning.
According to police, LMPD 4th Division officers responded just after 3:30 a.m. to the 900 block of Burton Avenue near Taylor Boulevard on a report of a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found a woman, 35-year-old Tamara Eubanks, applying pressure to a male victim's stab wound. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Police say Eubanks was arrested and charged with murder.
Neighbors say it's something they never saw coming and it's left friends shocked.
"We grew up together. I am still in shock. I still haven't broke down ... it's crazy," said Ebony Murray, a close friend of the victim.
Police have not said what led up to the stabbing, but neighbors say they are still worried.
"You hear shots all the time and hear police cars but its away and stuff like that. But here? I'm like, two or three houses down," one neighbor said.
Eubanks is expected in court on Monday.
Officials have not released the victim's name.
