LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Metro Police Department is celebrating the number of guns officers are pulling off the streets.

The Department posted pictures on social media Monday morning, indicating that its 2nd Division -- which covers several neighborhoods in west Louisville -- has confiscated 200 guns in 172 days this year.

LMPD says it's working hard to get the weapons off the streets to make the community safer.
