Louisville Metro Corrections officer accused of theft, misconduct
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An officer with Louisville Metro Corrections is facing charges after police say he submitted time sheets indicating he was on the job for the city, when he was actually working somewhere else.
Court documents say 30-year-old George Jaggers worked approximately 20 hours at another location as a security guard while he was on the clock at Louisville Metro Corrections.
A city salary database shows Jaggers is employed as a corrections officer.
A court summons says the incident occurred between July 1, 2017, and Aug. 31, 2017. The loss to the department is $501.80.
Jaggers is charged with theft by deception and official misconduct. A summons was issued for him to appear in district court on July 26, 2018.
