Police arrest Louisville man for voyeurism at Target store
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jeffersontown Police have arrested a Louisville man on charges of voyeurism at a retail store.
Anthony Draper, 21, was arrested Friday. According to an arrest report, it happened Friday, June 29 at the Target store located at 4640 Taylorsville Road.
Police say an officer was called to the store by store officials. According to an arrest report, an officer watched Target surveillance video. In the video, police say Draper was seen taking his phone and placing it under two women's skirts.
When Draper was detained, police say he "tried to take his phone and open it" and would not follow instructions to release the phone. Authorities say an officer was able to get the phone before Draper could erase the photos.
Police say Draper requested an attorney without answering questions. According to officials, Draper stated he "was just testing his camera on merchandise." He also stated it wasn't illegal to take photos of people in public, police say.
Officials say Draper refused to open his phone to show he pictures of merchandise.
Draper is charged with two counts of video voyeurism.
Metro Corrections officials say Draper has been placed on home incarceration.
