Suspect arrested in connection with Frankfort double-homicide
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man has been arrested after police say he was involved in a robbery in which two men were shot and killed in Frankfort.
According to an arrest report, 23-year-old Morgan Crutchfield was arrested just before 8 a.m. on Friday.
The shooting took place at about 5:45 on Tuesday, June 26, at a home near the intersection of Alexander Street and Leslie Avenue in Frankfort.
According to the arrest report, Crutchfield and his accomplices robbed two men at the home. During the robbery, the two men were shot.
WKYT reported that those two men were identified by Franklin County Coroner William Harrod as 22-year-old Jared Moore and 24-year-old Dustin Johnson, both of Frankfort.
The coroner says Moore was pronounced dead at the scene. Johnson was taken to Frankfort Regional Medical Center, where he died.
WKYT reports that a third man, who was a friend of the victims and was at the home, called to report the incident. One of the victims lived at the home, while the other person was a frequent visitor.
Authorities say some electronics are missing.
Crutchfield is charged with murder and first-degree robbery. He is currently being held in the Franklin County Detention Center.
