LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman nearly drowned at a southern Indiana lake.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources said 69-year-old Barbara Haller was swimming at the beach at Lutheran Lake in Bartholomew County on Friday when she slipped off her float and went under water.

In a news release, DNR said her husband, who was swimming nearby, and a boater were able to bring Haller to shore. She was breathing but was unresponsive.

Haller was taken to a hospital, where she's listed in critical condition.
