LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man was arrested and charged with attempted murder after police say he hit and shot a woman Friday night.

According to an arrest report, officers responded to a domestic dispute report at a home in the 5500 block of Riata Drive, which is off Shepherdsville Road near the GE Appliance Park, just after 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Witnesses told police 21-year-old Delmario Pinchbeck hit a female in the face, knocking her unconscious, before standing over her and shooting her in the head with a handgun, according to his arrest report.

The arrest report also states Pinchbeck fled the scene and the victim was taken to a local hospital by witnesses.

Police say Pinchbeck turned himself in at the Hall of Justice on West Jefferson Street around 4 a.m. Saturday.

Pinchbeck is charged with attempted murder and fourth degree assault. He's being held on a $100,000 cash bond and is expected to appear in arraignment court Monday morning.

An LMPD spokesperson said the victim's injuries appear to be non-life threatening. Her current condition is unknown.
