LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Florida man was arrested in Louisville Friday afternoon after police say several pounds of marijuana and cash, some cocaine and several weapons were found inside a home.
According to an arrest report, police searched the home, on Friday, just before 4 p.m. The home was located in the 5300 block of Fairy Belle Court, near the intersection of Stephen Foster Avenue and East Indian Trail.
Police say they had a warrant to search the home, where 44-year-old Geovannus Gutierrez was staying. Inside, they allegedly found several pounds of marijuana "packaged for sale" in plastic bags, both in Gutierrez's bedroom closet, as well as a basement bedroom closet. Officers say they found a "large quantity of cash" in different denominations in Gutierrez's bedroom.
Inside the downstairs bedroom, police found three handguns and one rifle. One of the handguns was stolen, according to police. Additionally, police say they found two small bags of cocaine, plastic bags and scales in the bedroom.
Police arrested Gutierrez and charged him with enhanced trafficking in marijuana, enhanced trafficking in cocaine, receipt of a stolen firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the arrest report, Gutierrez had a 17-year-old accomplice. It's not clear if that individual was arrested or charged, because juvenile records are sealed.
