Company donates lifelike pet replicas to LMPD for traumatized children
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Metro Police Department now has some new fluffy friends to lend them a helping hand.
Cuddle Clones, a company that creates custom stuffed replicas of pets, donated more than 150 of the replicas to LMPD. Officers will be able to give them to children during traumatic situations.
They say it will help officers provide another level of compassion and care.
Maj. Jamey Schwab, with LMPD's 8th division, agrees.
"So often times we deal with just horrible and tragic situations involving children, and when you look at these pets, they're very lifelike, they're very friendly, they're very warm and inviting. I think it's just going to be a tremendous resource for the officers."
Cuddle Clones hopes to make a donation every year. Its headquarters is in Louisville.
