FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WDRB) -- Saying goodbye to plastic straws means a big boom for one Indiana business.

Aardvark Straws of Fort Wayne makes paper straws.

The company says business has gone up by about 5,000 percent in the last year as more businesses like Starbucks get rid of plastic straws for environmental reasons.

The company is currently shipping straws to 34 countries.

Company officials say straws are just the beginning of getting rid of plastics. They say the next items to go are plastic bags, bottles and cups.
