LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Sweltering temperatures greeted music fans on the second day of the Forecastle Festival.

Organizers expect Saturday to be the biggest crowd of the entire weekend and were not concerned about the heat reducing the turnout.

Forecastle provides free water stations that are spread throughout Waterfront Park. Dozens of people were in line filling up water bottles and hydration packs.

Crowds also found shade under trees and the I-64 overpass.

Many music fans, including Ian Bruce, said they were committed to make the trip even on the hottest day of the festival.

"It's pretty hot out here,” Bruce said. “I'm pretty used to it but just stay hydrated use sunscreen and you'll be all right."

Erin McCabe said nothing would keep her from seeing Saturday’s line up.

"All my glitter by the end of the night will probably be sweated off, but I'm still here for a good time," McCabe said.

While the temperature may be slightly cooler, fans with a weekend pass say they're still prepared to deal with the heat and maybe even a chance of rain.

Arcade Fire will be the last act to perform Sunday night.
