Cat lovers! Two 'cat cafes' to open soon in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Cat lovers rejoice! You're about to have not just one, but two cat cafes.
We've just learned that the Purrfect Day Cafe is on Bardstown Road in the Highlands is scheduled to open the first week of August. 15 to 20 cats ready to be adopted will call it home.
Customers can 'shop' and sip on drinks including beer and wine. It's partnering with the Kentucky Humane Society to try to boost adoptions.
"This is an experience for everybody -- not just a cat lover thing, but really Louisville's newest and greatest experience, so lots of diverse crowds and opportunities, and the more people we get in, the more adoptions we'll get," said owner Chuck Patton.
A similar business, the Lucky Cat Cafe & Lounge, is scheduled nearby in the Douglass Loop at the end of the summer. It's partnering with Louisville Metro Animal Services and the Shamrock Foundation.
