Kentucky man says chickens are driving him crazy
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man in Nicholasville, Kentucky, says he's being driven crazy by hundreds of chickens owned by his neighbors.
According to a report by WKYT, Dwayne Stinnett has lived on Kissing Ridge Road for 54 years. He says in 2015, neighbors moved in next door and brought hundreds of chickens.
Stinnett says some of the chickens get into his garden, some are tied to containers and he's seen chickens fighting. He says he has filed complaint after complaint with the county, but nothing has been done.
"They start anywhere from 5 a.m. to 5:20 a.m., and they'll do this right until 10:30-11:30 at night," he explained, playing a tape recording of chickens cackling.
"Sometimes it will give you a headache," he added. "I feel like you are entitled to peace and quiet -- not constantly disturbed."
A man at the property denies chicken fighting. Despite the noise, Stinnett says he refuses to move.
