Ind. couple creates 'escape room' on bus to raise money for adoption fees
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Indiana couple is taking a unique approach on their journey to adopt.
According to WXIN Fox 59, Adam and Megan Philpott created an "escape room" on board an old school bus in the hopes of raising money to pay for adoption fees.
The couple struggled with infertility for years before deciding to look into the adoption process.
They spent thousands of hours converting an old school bus into an experience where people are invited to solve the mystery about a man who was out hunting for Bigfoot. Takers search for clues and try to solve the puzzle.
The Philpotts are charging $20 a person and hope to raise the $30,000 they need.
"We are hopeful they will be matching us with a baby here very soon, but it's so expensive," said Megan Philpott. "So we need to do the work on the front end and get the money raised. So, we have a bus."
The "Bigfoot Bus" is at the Johnson County fair this weekend.
