LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities have identified the man who died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on Preston Highway Thursday night.

According to Jefferson County deputy coroner Rita Taylor, 55-year-old Roy Lamont Moon died at University Hospital from multiple blunt force injuries around 10:45 p.m.

Police say Moon was riding the motorcycle around 9:45 p.m. in the 5300 block of Preston Highway, just north of East Indian Trail, when he collided with another vehicle.

LMPD spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said investigators have determined the car appeared to turn in front of Moon, who had the right of way.

Smiley said the crash does not appear to be alcohol-related.

No charges are expected, Smiley said.
