LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two people are accused of locking a baby in a car and burning the infant with a cigarette while they were high on methamphetamine.

According to a report from WKYT, police say 39-year-old Casey Hammack admitted she and 41-year-old Michael Robinson did meth before burning the nine-month-old with the cigarette.

The events took place Sunday night in London, Kentucky, just south of Lexington.

Investigators say witnesses had to break the window to get the baby out of the car.

Both suspects face a number of charges including public intoxication, wanton endangerment and assault.
