Louisville business owner says thieves stole $3,700 worth of merchandise
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville retailer is sending out a warning to other businesses to be on the lookout for some skillful thieves.
John Tan, the owner of Little John's Derby Jewelry, said three people posing as a family stole $3,700 worth of merchandise from his store Wednesday. He posted the surveillance video on Facebook.
Tan said the trio posed as a mother and her two sons, claiming they had a lot of money to spend. He describes them as being eastern European, adding that they had broken English.
They got away in a metallic gray Pathfinder SUV.
"It's embarrassing for something like that to happen, but I had to put it out there, because they're going to go all over Louisville," Tan said. "It could cost somebody else some money and maybe even worse, so I had to say something about it."
Tan is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrests of the suspects.
