MISSING: Police asking for public's help to find Prospect teen
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Oldham County Police Department is asking for the public's help to locate a missing teenager.
According to the Oldham County Police, 17-year-old Phoenix Denes of Prospect, Kentucky, was last seen in the early morning hours of July 11, when he walked away from the home of his legal guardian. Police say he may be in the company of his biological mother, 38-year-old Tami Mefford.
Police say they could be in the area of Wrought Iron Way in Georgetown, Indiana, or in New Albany, Indiana.
Denes is described as a white male, 5'-10" tall, weighing 140 pounds, with a thin build, brown hair, brown eyes and light complexion. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a grey-and-white striped t-shirt and black tennis shoes, although police say he has likely changed his clothes since then.
Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Oldham County Police Department at (502) 222-1300 during regular business hours. Calls placed after business hours can be made to (502) 222-1101 or to 911.
He is not believed to be in danger.
