LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Finding some new treasures for your home all while keeping it local.

The 3rd annual South Points Buy Local Fair was held Saturday at Iroquois Park.

More than 50 booths and vendors were set up featuring local foods, crafts, art and an area for the kids.

The Louisville Independent Business Alliance hosted the event.

It's a way for people to see what is being offered on the south side of Louisville, while showcasing the importance of independent businesses.

"That means when you spend your money there, more of the money is going to stay circulating in the neighborhood, in the community, and also these businesses are what is unique about the area, so they really give the neighborhood its character, as well as the city," said Jennifer Rubenstein, with the Louisville Independent Business Alliance.

The event wrapped up with live music, which was part of the Burnt Knob Music Festival held at the Iroquois Amphitheater.
