LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The sky was the limit for dozens of men and women in downtown Louisville this weekend.

The 7th annual Vault in the Ville continued Saturday at Fourth Street Live.

Some of the best pole vaulters in the country competed for the top spot.

The event showcases athletes from novices to experts, and even some Olympians.

Since Friday, all ages have been testing their skills to fly above the rest, which is no easy task.

"It is a very taxing sport," said Chip Heuser, founder of Vault in the Ville. "You have to be very determined. Your training has to be very specific. There is a lot of speed, agility, strength involved so these are the best of the best."

The competition continues Sunday at 9 a.m. and lasts throughout the day.
