LMPD investigating after juvenile shot near Taylor Boulevard
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a juvenile was shot in Louisville's Jacobs neighborhood, and later found near Valley Station.
MetroSafe told WDRB the initial shooting was reported around 2:15 p.m. Sunday in the 3700 block of Lentz Avenue in the Jacobs neighborhood, near Taylor Boulevard and Jacob Elementary School, but police were unable to locate a victim.
A second shooting was reported around 2:43 p.m. in the 11000 block of Bold Forbes Boulevard, near Valley Station, where police found a male juvenile victim, according to LMPD Spokesperson Alicia Smiley.
Smiley said it was determined the juvenile was shot while outside in the 3700 block of Lentz Avenue.
The victim was transported to Norton Children's Hospital with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries, according to Smiley.
LMPD's Major Crimes Unit is investigating the circumstances around the shooting.
There are no suspects in the case.
