Kentucky State Fair begins taking job applications on Aug. 6
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky State Fair will soon begin hiring temporary workers for the state fair.
Applications are being taken starting Monday, Aug. 6.
More than 750 temporary employees are needed to run admission gates, operations, maintenance, grounds, housekeeping and more. All shifts are available, and both indoor and outdoor positions are available.
Pay starts at $9 an hour.
Applicants must be at least 18-years-old and be prepared to how proper identification like a photo ID and Social Security card.
Anyone may apply in person or online. To apply in person, go to the Gate 4 Employment Office at the KEC during designated hours. Here is a schedule:
Monday, Aug. 6 to Friday, Aug. 10 7 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 11 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 12 Closed
Monday, Aug. 13 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 14 7 a.m.- 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 15 to Saturday, Aug. 25 7 a.m.- 8 p.m.
The 11-day fair runs Aug. 16 to 26 at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
