New taco restaurant is third concept from New Albany businessman
NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WDRB) -- Riding a wave of success, a New Albany businessman has opens his third concept downtown.
Longboard's Taco and Tiki is a new destination for tacos at the corner of Pearl and Market Streets. The restaurant is the brain child of Ian Hall, the owner of The Exchange and Brooklyn and The Butcher.
Longboard's is a fast-casual restaurant offering a new twist on tacos, poke bowls and cocktails, all inspired by the beach.
"Tacos anywhere from confit duck to Korean barbeque ... vegetarian with the curried cauliflower," Hall said. "I'm a carnivore, and that's one of my favorite tacos on the menu."
Longboard's features casual seating at street level and a tiki lounge downstairs. The restaurant opens at 5 p.m. for now but will be starting lunch hours in two weeks.
