LEXINGTON, Ky. (WDRB) -- University of Kentucky head football coach Mark Stoops talked about the upcoming season at a news conference kicking off UK Football media day in Lexington Friday morning 

Stoops started by revealing bad news: skin lesions found on defensive end Josh Paschal's foot tested positive for malignant melanoma. Stoops says they don't know what stage it's in. More tests are scheduled.

Kentucky opens its season at Kroger Field against Central Michigan on Sept. 1. After that, the team hits the road to face the Florida Gators in the SEC opener on Sept. 8.
