LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Summer may be the perfect time for grilling, but these aren't your traditional grills.

The 10th annual Eggfest kicked off Saturday morning at Brownsboro Hardware and Paint.

Nearly 100 Big Green Egg grills were going all at once, cooking hamburgers, veggies, pork, even pizza and baked goods.

Attendees could pay $20 and eat as much as they wanted.

The money raised from the event is given to two local charities. It's an event many people look forward to every year.

"We've done it for 10 years and I think we'll keep going cause it seems to be very popular," Brownsboro Hardware owner Jim Lehrer said. "Shopping local is so important today more than ever, so this is one way that Brownsboro Hardware and Paint can give back to the community."

Last year's Eggfest raised more than $30,000 for charity.

There's no word yet if this year's event topped that number.
