LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The streets of St. Matthews were extra busy on Saturday, and that's exactly what local businesses were hoping for.

The St. Matthews Street Festival draws thousands of people to Frankfort Avenue between Lexington Road and Bauer Avenue.

Hundreds of area retailers and businesses were there to display their products.

There was live music on two stages, food and a kids zone with inflatables.

It's a way for businesses to showcase what makes them so important to the area.

"But also connect our membership to people they want to do business with. So we do that through networking programs, through educational activities and through community events like this," said Josh Suiter, with the Chamber of St. Matthews.

The St. Matthews Library was also there, so people could sign up and volunteer.
