LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man was arrested Friday morning after police say another person died of an overdose of the heroin and fentanyl he was supplying them.

According to an arrest report, an individual was recently found dead from an opioid overdose that person suffered while enrolled in a sober living center.

Louisville Metro Police say their investigation determined that they had bought the drugs from 21-year-old Eric Carson.

On Friday, at about 11:30 a.m., police executed a search warrant at Carson's apartment at Echelon at Middletown, near the intersection of Shelbyville Road and North English Station Road.

Inside, they allegedly found an estimated kilogram of heroin and fentanyl , as well as cash and "evidence of trafficking."

Carson was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a controlled substance. He is currently being held in Louisville Metro Corrections.
