LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky Expo Center is hiring for the Kentucky State Fair.

Kentucky Venues began taking applications Monday for more than 750 temporary employees to work the fair.

The jobs include maintenance, groundskeeping, ticket takers and more. Some are indoor jobs, some outdoor. Shifts include morning, day, evening and overnight. Pay starts at $9.

"These are temporary jobs, but there are a lot of hours. We ask people to work, usually it's a minimum of an 8-hour shift, sometimes 10, sometimes even 12. So, there's a good opportunity for overtime pretty quickly," said Kentucky Venues spokesman Paul Herberg.

Those interested can apply online or at the Employment Offices at Gate 4 off Crittenden Drive. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and must provide proper identification - such as a photo ID or social security card.
