LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- LMPD is investigating a fight outside a Louisville hotel between the person who ordered an Uber and an Uber driver, who later died.

Spokesman Dwight Mitchell said the fight happened round 6 p.m. Aug. 4 outside the Courtyard Marriott Louisville East near Hurstbourne Parkway and I-64. The victim and the person who ordered the Uber got into a "verbal argument," Mitchell said, which turned into a fight. The victim was transported to Baptist East Hospital, where he died a few days later.

The LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating the case. No charges have been filed.
