U of L welcoming a record number of out-of-state freshmen this year
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The University of Louisville says more students than ever are coming from out of state.
Preliminary figures released Thursday show of the nearly 2,800 incoming freshman, 22 percent are from outside Kentucky. That includes students from 12 foreign countries.
The average ACT score of incoming freshman is more 25, which is above the 2017 Kentucky average of 20.
The most popular majors for the incoming class are engineering, biology, business, education and nursing.
Classes at U of L begin Aug. 20.
