Girl Scouts show 's'more love' to Louisville police and first responders
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana are offering up s'more love for police officers.
They offered up free Girl Scout cookies to officers and first responders in recognition of National S'more day.
The girls gave out cases of cookies at the Jefferson County Courthouse Friday morning. Scouts like Lucy Sonsalla said it was the perfect opportunity to thank officers for their service to the community.
"We just like giving back to the community, especially the police officers for putting their lives on the line to help us every day. Without them, nothing would be possible here," she said.
Local troops also delivered hundreds of cases of cookies to area organizations that were nominated to receive 's'more love and gratitude' for their work in the community.
