Donut burger gets a new twist for this year's Kentucky State Fair
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The donut burger gets a new twist at this year's Kentucky State Fair.
This year's new offering is Larry's Big Clifty Bourbon Donut Burger. Sivori Catering posted a picture on social media of the creation that comes with a hamburger dipped in a bourbon maple glaze made with Rabbit Hole Distillery Kentucky Straight Bourbon. Then they add country ham from Clifty Farms and finish it off with a doughnut for a bun.
Poutine (Poo-teen) is also on the fair menu. It's inspired by a Canadian dish that is usually centered on french fries. But the fair's poutine is a basket of hash browns smothered in brown gravy and topped with Wisconsin cheese curds. Then you can choose your own toppings from there.
The 2018 Kentucky State Fair is Aug. 16-26 at the Kentucky Exposition Center. For more information, visit www.kystatefair.org
